Henry of Navarre:
- Ruled France from 1553-1610
- The throne was passed down to him after Henry III assissination.
- He started out as a protestant but then becam a Catholic because few frenchmen would accept him as a protestant.
- He had a positive impact on France because he took the counrtry out of war. he also established political rights and a length of religious freedom for the Huguenots.
- Hew as described as having much concern for the common people which made him popular.
- He was most known for giving freedom to Protestants by ending the civil war with Edict of Nantes.
